A doctorate is the highest type of study at a university. Study programmes focus on scientific research and independent creative activity in the field of technical research or development. Graduates will find employment as research and development workers in industry, research institutes, and universities.
By successfully completing the state doctoral examination and defending their dissertation, the graduate will receive the academic title of “Doctor” - in short, Ph.D. after their name.
The standard period of study is four years.
Form of study: full-time, combined
The study is accompanied not only by professional guidance from a supervisor, but also by an effort to provide above-standard material preparation for doctoral students (help in negotiating additional scholarships), involvement of doctoral students in the life of the department and its scientific research and economic activities (part-time work).
