Master studies

Are you currently still deciding which programme and specialisation to study? Choose to study in the programme: Machines and Equipment Design with a focus on: Glass Production Machines and Robotics. The standard period of study is two years.

Form of study: full-time, combined.

What we offer to students of the Master’s study programme:

Know-how” in the areas of design, control systems, and control.

Emphasis on the design of machines and mechatronic systems – service robotics, automation technology, robotic effectors, communication interfaces, intelligent control including robot vision.

We also place emphasis on the applicability of acquired knowledge in industry.

Teaching, projects, Bachelor’s, and diploma theses performed in modern laboratories.

The laboratories have 11 robots of various designs, which you will be taught to work with

In addition to robots, sensors, cameras, and pneumatic components, you will also find a 3D printer and blasting machines. It is possible to create in a fully equipped prototype workshop with the support of our professional staff. Powerful computers for modelling support are also available.
An individual approach, which is manifested above all in mastering the diploma thesis.
The possibility of generating income within the tasks solved by the department and the supporting scientific workforce.
Acquiring knowledge in the field of pneumatic drives completely free of charge (we also provide courses for company employees, but for a fee, which is 100,000 CZK per person in the standard course for all modules discussed during standard teaching),
The opportunity to learn (train) how to program robots, of which around 2,600 were installed in the Czech Republic in 2020 (a very promising and well-paid activity, often over 20,000 CZK/day),
The “Project” within the follow-up study focusses on the assigned diploma thesis and is part of it (the student is consistently led to solve one large project instead of two),
The diploma thesis can freely follow on from the Bachelor’s thesis.

Profile of our graduates: Specialist in glass machinery and technology, comprehensively prepared automation and robotics expert, mechanical engineer with practical experience, able to design single-purpose machines, robot effectors and service robots, use unified design elements, with extended knowledge in the field of mechatronics, material engineering (glass, new trends such as 3D printing of glass, new properties), image acquisition and processing, and with practical skills in programming of industrial robots and freely programmable automatic machines.
